The announcement of the Grantley Green Memorial Scholarship was made on Monday, 30th September at a gala event to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Sam Sharpe Teachers College. According to the representatives of Grantley’s Class of 1978, the scholarship was funded by his batch mates and by the Green family. Total amount raised to date was (JA)$800,000, of which $500,00 will be disbursed this November to two deserving candidates. Grantley was renowned during his lifetime for his leadership of the Class of 1978 together with his tireless support and advocacy of the College.
